STAYBRIDGE SUITES LONG BEACH AIRPORT CELEBRATES ITS GRAND OPENING

Designed by Los Angles hotel architects AXIS, the project adds a dual-branded hotel extended stay option to Long Beach’s vacation hotel market

Adding yet another project to AXIS’s growing portfolio of hotel projects in Southern California, one of our most recently completed commissions – the Staybridge Suites Long Beach Airport – recently opened its doors to guests.

A new-build hotel project, the design and construction of the Staybridge Suites Long Beach was technically complex; apart from replacing an existing building, the new hotel’s placement is immediately adjacent to the existing Holiday Inn Long Beach Airport Hotel with its atypical circular footprint. The addition of the new hotel effectively makes the property a dual-branded hotel, and adds an extended stay option in Long Beach’s primarily holiday resort marketplace.

With a design program to meticulously follow Staybridge Suites Hotels’ brand guidelines, AXIS’s design for the hotel is welcomingly familiar, yet finds innovative opportunities to leverage the existing hotel’s infrastructure to efficiently deliver back-of-house services and guest amenities to the new property in a cost efficient way.
